What does the Contractor Trust Check actually check?
It looks up three independent things: whether the business has an active BC corporate registration (OrgBook BC), whether it holds a current municipal business licence (from whichever municipality's open data covers that business), and its Google rating and review count.
What does 'No data found' mean?
'No data found' means that particular source ran but found no confident match — not that something is wrong. A separate 'Not checked' status appears instead when a check doesn't apply at all — e.g. a registration check for a business outside BC, or a licence check for one outside the municipalities we currently cover.
Is this a background check?
